One of the many services we provide at The Asheville Computer Company is hardware upgrades. A commonly requested service is to upgrade the computer’s graphics card to play games more smoothly or to increase the processing power for business related design and modeling programs.

We recently upgraded a gaming machine from a standard issue graphics card to one of the newest available and powerful cards, the GTX 1070.

The customer was unable to play some modern games, at all, with their old graphics card, but with the new card the games run very smooth and will for a long time.

The benchmarks on the new graphics card were 3x – 5x better with the new card!

This Macbook Pro came to us with a cracked screen. Due to the way Macbooks are constructed it’s necessary to change out the whole top of the laptop and not just the LCD screen. This customer received a few quotes around town that were significantly higher than the repair bill from us.

We were able to replace the screen for several hundred dollars cheaper than other computer shops in town and do it with a quick turnaround.

We saved the customer hundreds on the repair and a thousand or more over buying a new Macbook.
